Kirsi-Maria Perkkiö's paintings are unique pieces of art. The artist herself says: "My paintings are not just paintings for myself. For me, painting and the colors are music without sound. I work on colors, forms of visual language and rhythm for so long that I feel like the painting is playing as if a whole band is playing in composition."
One of Perkkiö's main interests are old European architecture and paintings, as well as their spirit and mystery, which they still speaks to people universally regardless of the nation, race, religion and other of the distinguishing features of our time.
